    Alyona Sotnikova

    Set Designer in THE MUTT

    Alyona Sotnikova is a Russian-born, New York-based architectural, interior, and set designer. She holds a professional degree in architecture from the Saint Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts, where she received rigorous training in Russian academic drawing.

    Her experience includes work as an interior and exhibition designer in Saint Petersburg, contributing to projects at the Bolshoi Drama Theater. She collaborated on set design for The Ballad of the Small Tugboat by Joseph Brodsky with an independent director from the Bolshoi Puppet Theater; this production premiered in Moscow and remains in the theater's repertoire.

    Sotnikova earned her Master of Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design, where she deepened her study of set design history and participated in student theater productions. Currently based in New York as an architectural designer, she brings her cultural background, professional experience, and knowledge of Russian literature to her role with The Mutt.
