    Choreographer in THE MUTT

    Gisela Quinteros is an Argentine-born dancer and choreographer who began her ballet training in San Juan at Estudio Pavlova. She earned scholarships to study in France, graduating with the Médaille de Vermeil from the Conservatoire National de Musique et Danse de Nancy et Lorraine.

    She performed professionally with Le Ballet National de Nancy et Lorraine and toured extensively across Europe, Russia, China, and Brazil. After relocating to New York, she danced with companies including American Contemporary Ballet, Westminster Ballet, and Christopher Caines Dance Company.

    In 2012, Quinteros co-founded ENCOUNTERS DANCE with Edgar Peterson, presenting work at venues such as The Ailey Citigroup Theater and New York City Center. She has taught ballet at multiple institutions including the Joffrey Ballet School and Riverbank State Park, while continuing to choreograph site-specific collaborative works with visual artists and composers. Recently, she participated in the international 'Art for Women Today' project, with presentations in Stockholm, Rome, and Geneva.
