Lev Chesnov
Lighting Designer in THE MUTT
Lev Chesnov is a NYC-based lighting designer holding a master's degree in cinematography from VGIK, the prestigious Russian State University of Cinematography—the oldest film school in the world. He began his career as a cinematographer in Moscow and St. Petersburg before transitioning to lighting design in 2010.
Since relocating to the United States, Chesnov has contributed lighting expertise to off-Broadway productions, merging technical skill with artistic vision. He is currently working on MUTT, a theatrical adaptation inspired by Dostoevsky's The Brothers Karamazov, where his lighting design emphasizes the narrative's psychological depth and dramatic tension.
